Sophie is a high achiever with a never give up attitude. When things get tough Sophie gets tougher, sharper and more determined. Underlying this is a real commitment to understanding people and their circumstances.
Sophie’s social interests are illustrated by her studies. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law with Honours as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, majoring in Psychology, which together provide her special insight and empathy for Family Law situations.
In her last year of study, Sophie was invited by the Law School to participate in its Honours program. Sophie embraced this opportunity and undertook a thesis in the field of intellectual property, which was subsequently published in the UWA Intellectual Property Law Review in January 2017.
During her studies, Sophie also had experience working in one of Australia’s top-tier commercial law firms in 2015.
Sophie commenced work as a paralegal at Loukas Law in June 2017, where her passion for Family Law quickly evolved. After completing her Practical Legal Training requirements through the College of Law in 2017, she obtained a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in April 2018.
During her time at Loukas Law, Sophie has assisted with complex trial work in the Family Court of Western Australia and worked alongside some of Australia’s leading Queens Counsel and Barristers.
Sophie understands the importance of developing and maintaining trustworthy relationships – being mindful of the difference it makes to people’s lives is why Sophie is committed to helping people.
